Alexey and Elie founded Hypercritical^ to tackle a problem they had wrestled with for over a decade.
The lack of capacity and capability in software had become a bottleneck, preventing new technologies from being developed at the pace we need.
They created Hyperpilot^, and at its core is a milestone in controls engineering: an artificial engineering super-intelligence.
Elie Talj
Elie moved to London from Australia over a decade ago to work in the UK's automotive industry, and has led everything from the development of ultra-high power-dense batteries at McLaren Automotive, to the entire electric powertrain at Arrival. He met Alexey there and from that point on, it was only a matter of time before Hypercritical^ would be founded.
Alexey Barinov
A physicist by training, Alexey started his journey at Marussia Motors, where he became their youngest ever engineering manager. After leading another engineering department of over 100 people at FSUE, Alexey joined Arrival in 2018, which eventually took him to London. His leadership of the entire High Voltage system was critical in enabling Arrival's journey from startup to the UK's largest public listing.
